PLANS
Thrall needs a network, so he will be reaching out to people on all sides. Those with information will interest him greatly. He may do his best to smooth over anti-shardbearer sentiment but there are no solid plans to get him involved with that yet. He is slowly heading in a more neutral direction as he despises war, and to that end, he will also be shielding/protecting children, refugees, and other non-combatants. Much of his energy will be devoted to healing the damage the war has wrought and communing with spirits.

SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
Thrall will have his own spot of land to outfit and strengthen as he pleases. This new base will act as a great place of operations for him, and a good place to stop since it's basically right in the middle of the map. Nice.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May)

MARCH - Thrall helps with unfreezing the Roc's frozen rampage. BOON EVENT
MARCH - Thrall helps out in Azure, meets Wan.
MARCH - Waver hands over the keys to the old Barrel.
MARCH - Rin calls Thrall up on da phone and tells him to get his ass down here.
MARCH - Thrall helps Rin & the Barrel (2) with healing some damage down south, helps with her garden.
APRIL - Shardbearers hear harps in their dreams, can smash it to make it stop. BOON EVENT
APRIL - Waver comes by.
APRIL - Saber comes by.
MAY - Fairy rings and lockets stop working. Monarchs disappear. Thrall goes golden swan hunting.
MAY - Swan hunting w/ Diarmuid.
MAY - Javik comes by the TTP.

SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug)

JUNE - Treun festival. Thrall will watch, but he won't participate in the melee unless needed. He bothers Hiro though because gambling is bad.
JUNE - Thrall and Lia have a friendly duel.
JULY - Anti-shardbearer sentiment in Daonna. Thrall will strengthen security around his post just in case. Thrall takes Hiro on a ride around the neutral lands, surveying the damage the Jabberwhelp caused. Attempts to heal the earth will happen. They may or may not be successful.
AUGUST - Forest golems go crazy. Festival of Light happens in Leathann. Thrall isn't going.
AUGUST - Wan comes by TTP, asks for help with the golems. Thrall talks to the spirits and helps some of them feel better.
AUGUST - Connor comes by TTP.

FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov)

SEPTEMBER - Suddenly language barriers everywhere! Thrall speaks Common and Orcish and orcs are natural polyglots so this should be fun.
LATE SEPTEMBER - Brewfest? a.k.a. the Treun wreath festival. Maybe Thrall can get some imports for his pals.
LATE OCTOBER- Samhain! Sun does not rise; characters can go wherever they please; Black Shuck makes another appearance; giant party on the Cathraon. Thrall is going to the party with Vol'jin and he'll be dressed up as a dwarf because that's fucking hilarious, is what it is.
NOVEMBER - Some kind of prison break from Leathann. Thrall watches.

WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb)

LATE DECEMBER- Thrall will dress up as Greatfather Winter for Yule and give presents to the kids. Also both courts are trying to catch the White Hart.
JANUARY - Caer Scima is finally rebuilt, but Thrall does not return.
FEBRUARY - Something like Children's Week in Parrais. Several notable artists found murdered. Thrall is perturbed and wonders if it's tied to anti-shardbearer sentiment, but maybe not.

SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr)

MARCH - The dead rise again! Thrall will have no problems cutting down skeletons. He's dealt with the Scourge before.
APRIL - Imps and fairies both go missing?

[Waver feels a little twinge of red creep up his cheeks as he realizes just how much Thrall dwarves the interiors of the Barrel. Sure, there had been the matter of Ganondof fitting inside, but Thrall was bigger than Ganon as well. ]

Please, it's no problem at all. I only just started a fire, so it'll take a little to warm up.

[And yet Thrall doesn't seem to mind at all. He's a pretty easygoing guy, even if it's not easy being green. He smiles at Waver anyway, open and friendly, showing no signs of being terribly cold.]

Thank you. [And he'll be moving closer to the fire, then.] What was it you needed to meet with me about? I thought others would be here to help decide the fate of the Barrel? [Not that he's suspicious of Waver-- not at all.]

--Actually, I'd like for you to take it over.

[Waver meets Thrall's eyes when he says it, and his tone is as light and confident as ever.]

What?

[No, he heard Waver quite clearly, actually. He flushes dark green and it's not even because of the weather. Right up to his ears.]

You... would trust me with this? But it must mean so much to you. [He gestures to the room around them.] Even weak eyes can see how much love and care you have poured into this place.

You made valid points when we last spoke, and if I can't look after this place, someone else who I believe can survive in this place, thrive here, should.

[Waver smiles, bittersweet.]

A few modifications not withstanding, I think you're the best person for the job. If you'll take it, of course.

[Thrall lets out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. He stares at Waver openly for a moment, and then he finds his feet-- as he always does-- and bows low.]

You honor me with your words. [His voice is strong. There's no sign of wavering, but it's rough and full of warmth.] I accept. I know it is a heavy responsibility, but I will treat it like my own home.

Thank you.

There's no reason to bow, this is-- [And now Waver is bright red. Thrall's earnestness is astounding, and more than touching.]

It is your home, after the paperwork's done.

[Thrall straightens. He's smiling broadly now, lighting up his eyes and making him almost seem his age. He strides forward and clasps Waver's hand in his own, a brief and happy gesture.]

So it is. And now I will have to think of what to do with it. I cannot hope to make another Barrel, as I am lacking in certain... domestic areas. But I will make it into something beneficial, someplace safe.

[Waver's hands are absolutely dwarfed by Thrall's, but it only serves to have Thrall's smile be matched.]

Whatever you believe would best suit you is the only thing I can encourage you to do. And to make any modifications that you need as well, given...[He takes a beat, gesturing to Thrall's height.] It'd take two of me to reach your height.

[He ducks his head again, a shy grin there.] Y-- yes. Of course.

I imagine you would still like to have a hand in it. I will have to think of a... business of some kind, or fortification. It's too large to simply live in.

[He'd be okay with a tent out back.]

Well, a business would help bring you in some income, and I know with the spire within the area, there will be a fair amount of travelers going through here.

[Waver does, however, fight back a laugh at the idea of the Barrel's building being too large to live in. Thrall could all too easily make this one section of a larger home.]

As for having a hand in it, I think that's up to you.

Travelers, hmm... [Even if he's not terribly domestic, he could still provide a place to sleep. Or--] What about trade? This place is an ideal location for goods to pass through.

[Oh Waver, you're too kind.] If nothing else, I could let you know if I hear anything interesting.

Trade would be good, and I'm sure you could change this into a retail space rather easily.

[Waver looks around the room, his mind replacing tables and bookshelves with merchandise. Furs. Practical things.]

If you do hear interesting things you might end up becoming involved with interesting things as well.

[He's glad Waver approves.] Trade is essential whether it's a large nation or a small one.

[The corner of his lip twitches upward.]

Should I be frightened?

It's the Drabwurld, so probably.

[While Waver says it lightly, there's nothing but truth in the statement. And it brings him to something more important.]

In all seriousness though, if you want to use that information in light of our conversation last month--

Of course. You need not even ask.

[He smiles knowingly.]

I may not, but I do so anyway because I must always be certain that those going into business besides me are aware and comfortable with the risks they take on.

[Aaaand that makes Thrall laugh.]

I have had weekly attempts on my life since I assumed the mantle of Warchief. I know exactly what I am getting into. Let the risks come, if they dare-- even better if they think me more a monster than a man. I will show them otherwise.

--That's the best response anyone could give me after the general disclaimer I make a point of uttering.

[Waver is absolutely beaming.]

[Thrall grins lopsidedly, showing a little bit of teeth.]

It is true. My title is meaningless here, but as something-- close to a king, I know exactly what it is like to be hunted. I admit it's freeing to be able to travel where I like without a full guard detail.

But enough about that. I will contact who I can and prepare immediately.

I can't even imagine how much that free travel must feel like a luxury.

[Waver realizes the most important part of all of this hasn't been done yet.]

It does help if we sign the paperwork.

Oh. Yes. [He laughs again, this time quieter and warmer.] Another thing I don't miss...

Is it weird that I do?

[Waver reaches into his pocket, withdrawing a deeply modern ballpoint pen.]

I'll pass all of mine onto you, then.

[That is... definitely not a pen he's seen before. He can tell it's a pen, but...]

Somehow, I was expecting one of those feather pens that writes without anyone touching it.

Happily, and with gusto.

[Waver scribbles on the edge of the document to make sure it works, then turns it to face Thrall.]

Nothing so fancy. So, the long and short of the document is that I'm transferring my ownership of the building and the acre of land it sits on over to you in full. The document behind it is from me, and gives you an idea of who the local lord is, taxation, and everything else.
